Introducing Robert Kelker Kelly as Scorn

    A man dressed in all black came walking into a candle-lit bedroom. He was tall with dark hair. He smiled at the blonde in the bed accross the room. Woman: "That was amazing." Man: "You weren't bad yourself, miss." She couldn't take her eyes off of him. Woman: "What did you say your name was?" He walked over and laid in the bed next to her. Man: "I didn't." He reached over and turned off the light. Woman: "I'm so glad I finally found a man I can trust. Someone who will treat me like a woman instead of some toy." The man looked deeply into her eyes. Man: "Women are the finest of God's creatures and should be treated as such. Now get some sleep." She kissed him, then turned over. An evil smile spread over his face in the dark. He looked down at her and shook his head. Man: "Another one down."
    Kelly came walking back into the cave to find Ransik alone in the living room. Ransik: "Where were you all day?" She had the baby in her arms, but it was wrapped in a blanket. Ransik couldn't tell what it was. Kelly: "I was out. Mostly thinking about Nadira." Ransik: "That's all I've done too." She walked up next to him. He put his arm around her. Then noticed what was in her arms. Ransik: "So what's in the blanket?" She shifted the blanket around a little so that he could see the baby's face. Ransik: "What the he*l did you get that?" Kelly: "Calm down. He came from the hospital in town." Ransik: "You stole a baby? What is the matter with you?" Kelly: "Before you say this was a bad idea, just listen. I made my mistakes with Nadira. I thought this would be a way for us to be parents together. Not just you doing the work." Ransik: "And you couldn't ask me to have our own?" Kelly: "I didn't want to wait that long. Plus I can't be off the battle field long enough to be pregnant. This solves all our problems." Ransik: "Except kidnapping!" Kelly: "We're criminals. Why does this bother you so much? I thought you'd be happy." Ransik took a minute to respond. Kelly: "Just think of all the fun we could have. Think of his first word. Probably daddy. We could stay up all night thinking of names. And he could grow up to be just like us." She saw she was starting to get through to him. Kelly: "Give me the chance I gave up before. Raise this child with me." Ransik thought a little longer. Ransik: "I guess it is a pretty good idea." She kissed him on the cheek. Kelly: "See. I told you." Ransik looked at the baby adoringly. Kelly handed him to her husband.
    Cerina held Niki in her arms, trying to keep her warm. She looked up at Lucas. Cerina: "How long have we been stuck here?" He checked his watch. Lucas: "Few hours." She sighed. Cerina: "I can't believe this. You just had to come out here!" Lucas: "Lets not start fighting. This could be a long night." Cerina: "Fine." Niki: "Are we going to be ok?" Cerina: "Of course we are. And if not, I'm going to break Lucas' legs." She laughed. Lucas: "She's going to grow up to be just like you." Cerina: "Probably." Lucas: "God help us." He stood up and headed toward the place where the hole had been. Cerina: "Can you move them?" He strained to move one of the rocks out of the way. After a minute, he gave up. Lucas: "No. They won't budge." Cerina: "Can your communicator work?" Lucas: "Sure, but it won't help us. Its only got contact with the year 3000. I get reach your friends." Lucas walked over and took off his black jacket. He placed it around Niki. She looked over at him, as if she wanted to say something. After a minute, she spoke up. Niki: "What did Nadira do wrong?" He sat down next to the ladies again. Lucas: "She... she wasn't a bad person really. She was just raised poorly. Her parents introduced her to a life of crime practicly since birth." Niki: "So you couldn't just arrest them?" Lucas: "Some times that would be more fair. But its not how the law works." Cerina: "You remember when she killed that guy in the store. When you took all that candy." Niki laughed. Niki: "Yeah. She even took the watch off his arm!" Lucas: "That isn't the first time she's killed to get what she wants. That's why she had to go. She took away a man's life. That can't be forgiven." Niki: "I guess not." Cerina: "You know how much you miss you dad? Well that man could have had a family too. Kids that wanted him around. And Nadira took that away from them." She didn't say anything for a long time. Cerina looked at Lucas hopefully. Niki: "I'm sorry I yelled at you for that." Lucas: "Its cool. I know she was your friend and everything." Niki: "When we get out, I guess I wouldn't mind staying with you while the rangers fight. If you promise to take Ransik and Kelly to jail too." Lucas: "Oh they're not going to get away from me. No chance in he*l."
    Kitana went into the throne room later that night. She saw Vulca sitting with her arms folded accross her chest. Kitana: "Cold night, huh?" Vulca: "Yeah. I think its about 40 right now." Both women looked at the big, open balcony on the side of the room. Kitana: "Makes you wish that thing wasn't there." Vulca: "I wish the idiot that built this place was still alive. I'd have to kick the crap of him." Kitana laughed. Kitana: "The guy would have been what, over 100?" Vulca: "I guess. I know he worked for my grandmother, Shou. I'll bet she killed him when he finished construction." Kitana: "Hey, Boron thought you'd be mad if I went after Psycho Yellow on my own. He's crazy, right?" Vulca: "Course. That's what you're here for." They both thought of them same thing at once. Kitana: "Where is he?" They heard footsteps beside them. He entered the room and bowed. Boron: "I have done what she couldn't do." Kitana: "What are you talking about, you bas*ard?" Boron: "I killed Cerina." Vulca: "Really? She's dead!" Boron: "Well, not quite. But she will be. I caught her, that brat, and the Time Ranger in a cave. They have no way out. They should be frozen by morning. Vulca: "Good work. I may have been wrong about you before." Kitana held her hands up. Kitana: "Don't jump the gun. He didn't kill her yet." Boron: "Have faith, blondy." He turned and left.
    The woman woke up at 2:00 and rolled over. She reached out for the man, but she just kept reaching. To her horror, she realized that he had left her alone. She flipped on the light. The room was silent. She looked over at the side wall and saw the window was open. On the window was a note with just one word on it; "Scorn". She stared at the note for a long time. She thought about how foolish she had been. To sleep with him after only one date. She crunched the note into a ball and threw it out into the air. Then slammed the window back shut. Frustrated, she threw herself onto the bed and burried her head in her pillow. She began to cry.
    Scorn walked down a dark street. He laughed out loud when he thought about the woman's love for him. Scorn: "Its so easy some times. I'm starting to feel I need more of a challenge." He shook his head, amused with himself. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a woman in a blue shirt and a short black dress. It was Kari. She had walked out, in yet another attempt to forget about Rick. Scorn thought: "Could it be? Opportunity knocks again?" He walked up to her and and cleared his throat. Scorn: "Good evening." She was taken with him right away. She smiled and shook his hand. Kari: "Hi. I'm Kari." Scorn: "John. Its a pleasure." He paused. Scorn: "So what's a pretty young woman like yourself doing out alone? Its dangerous this late at night." Kari: "It doesn't bother me. I can take care of myself." Scorn: "Perhaps you might think me to forward, but... would you care for a drink?" He suddenly backed off. Scorn: "I'm sorry. Someone like you is probably already seeing someone." Kari: "Oh, no... not anymore." She thought for a moment. Kari: "I've love to get a drink." She took his hand and began to walk down the street. Scorn: "What did you two break up for, if you don't mind my asking." Kari: "He's to secretive. Everything I asked him, I got some geraric answer. When I think about a relationship, I think about honesty. Not just a well put bunch of lies." Scorn: "I see. Sounds perfectly resonable to me." Kari: "And it would be for any normal person. But not him. Oh no! He's gotta go be Mr. Mysterious all the time!"
    Ransik: "Did anyone see you take him?" Kelly sighed. Kelly: "No. I'm not an amature. I know what I'm doing." The two of them sat on the couch with the baby. Kelly: "So what about Eric?" Ransik: "Huh?" Kelly: "For a name." Ransik shook his head. Ransik: "No, that won't work. That's also the name of the Quantom Ranger I fought before." Kelly: "Ok. Your turn." Ransik: "What is this?" Kelly: "If we keep doing this, we're bound to find something we both like." Ransik: "Tom." Kelly: "I dated a Tom." Kelly: "Bill." Ransik: "Clinton." Kelly: "Say no more." Ransik: "Lance." Kelly: "I dated a Lance." Ransik gave her and odd look. Kelly: "Two actually." Ransik: "All right, stop. This is getting us nowhere." She laughed. Kelly: "You didn't think you were the first, did you?" Ransik: "I'd rather not discuss it." They both looked up in shock as Rick walked into the room. None of them said a word. Rick stood there, staring at them. As if he knew right away what they had done.
    Niki had gone to sleep. Lucas held her as Cerina paced back and forth in the cave. She swoung her fist in anger. Lucas: "Don't get worked up. We'll get out of here." She turned quickly to face him. Cerina: "Yeah? How? How the he*l do you expect to get us out of here? Please tell me, oh master of survival!" Lucas: "You loosing your temper isn't going to help things." He looked around. Lucas: "There is no opening we can use. Like a crack we can work from to dig our what through." Cerina: "I know." Finally, she gave up pacing and sank back to the floor. Cerina: "I hate being this helpless." Lucas didn't respond. He sat there for a long time, deep in thought. Trying to come up with something that could help them. Anything at all.
    As Scorn and Kari were walking, Vulca came down the middle of the street. She had a team of Drika soldiers with her. Kari stopped when she noticed her. Kari: "Get out of here. The queen is dangerous." He looked at Vulca for a while. Then turned and walked away. Vulca: "New man? Won't the Black Ranger love that!" Kari: "Mind your own business." Vulca: "I guess I'll be on my way. No need to waste my time on the likes of you." She turned and Kari made her move. She tried to attack her from behind, but Vulca turned quickly around and cut her with her septor. She hit the ground hard and held the cut. Vulca looked down at her and laughed. Vulca: "You should know better than that. How long have we been fighting now? It seems like centuries." She and the Drika continued on their way. Kari tried desperatly to get up and go after her, but she couldn't. She could barely move. She also tried to morph, hoping the suit would give her enough energy for a fight, but couldn't make herself hit the button. She looked over as Scorn caming running out of an ally. He knelt down beside her and helped her sit up. Scorn: "What happened?" Kari: "Little disagreement, that's all." He saw the cut from the septor. Blood started to come through her shirt. Scorn: "I should take you to a hospital." Kari: "NO! Absolutely not!" He was surprised. Scorn: "You need to have that looked at." Kari: "I know, but... you don't understand." Scorn: "Than explain it to me. Because it doesn't make sense to just lay in the street and bleed." She thought for a moment, but decided she could trust him. Kari: "I'm a rebel." He made a face. Scorn: "Excuse me?" Kari: "I fight to bring down the queen. Hospitals are funded by the royal family. If I were to show my face there, I'd be in jail for sure." Scorn: "I see. So do you do this alone?" Kari: "No. I've got help." He helped her to her feet. Scorn: "Is there some place I can take you?" Kari: "Sure. Back home." He put his arm around her and she pointed in the direction of the cave. Kari: "This is all so nice. We just met and you've done everything you can to help me." Scorn: "Think nothing of it."
    Kelly couldn't take the silence as Rick stared at them both. Kelly: "Say something." He was at a loss for words. He took a deep breath and tried again. Rick: "You..." He slammed his hand against the wall. Rick: "You took a baby!" Ransik: "You don't understand. We are going through..." Rick cut him off. Rick: "What the he*l?" Kelly: "We lost our daughter to the Time Force. We thought if we could start over, it would hurt less." Rick: "So what about the people that kid belongs to? Imagine their pain right now." Ransik: "Well, I guess you're right." Kelly shook her head. Kelly: "No. Their pain is not my problem." Ransik had never noticed Kelly's dark side this strong before. Rick: "Take it back." He realized he had gotten ahead of himself. Rick: "Wait. Where did you get it in the first place?" Ransik: "The hospital." He sighed and ran his hand through his hair. Rick: "You have no idea what kind of a risk that is. We can't go in there. Ever!" Kelly: "I didn't go for treatment. They don't know who I am. I just took the kid and left." She thought hard, attempting to justify her actions. Kelly: "No one saw me, ok? No guards, no security cameras, nothing." Rick: "I know you're experienced. I believe you when you say nobody caught you." Ransik: "Leave it alone, all right. Its our life." Rick: "What about Kari? You know she won't go for this." Kelly: "F*ck Kari!" Ransik: "How blunt." Rick: "This is her base. I'm just warning you. She's got a good heart. Maybe the only one of us who does. You don't want to pull this stuff with her."
    Kitana saw Boron sitting on the balcony. Kitana thought: "He makes me sick. The man does one thing right and he walks around here like he built the place. Oh no. It don't work that way." Boron: "Thinking of how sweet my victory will be, Kitana?" Kitana: "I don't think you can do it. I've heard Vulca go on about how resourceful that girl is. Said she my even be the best general the empire ever had." Boron growled. (Since he too was once a general) Boron: "She is dead. The air in that cave won't last forever." Kitana: "Just keep reassuring yourself. First it was the cold that was going to kill her. Now its the lack of air. What next?" He stood up and walked out. Kitana thought: "He's right though. She won't live much longer." She broke into a dead sprint out the door. She went as fast as she could towards the cave. She knew she had to beat Vulca there. Kitana: "If I don't stop this, he'll be right. Then I'll never hear the end of his bragging." Sticks broke beneath her feet as she tore through the woods. A thorn scrated her arm. Blood ran down it, but she ignored it and kept going. Kitana: "I won't let that little bas*ard win!"
    Scorn and Kari stood in front of the cave. Kari: "Thanks for all this." Scorn: "Any time." He took a card out of his pants pocket and handed it to her. Scorn: "Feel free to call me sometime." She smiled. Kari: "I'll do that." She walked into the cave and down the steps. Rick stood there with Ransik and Kelly. Rick: "Who was that with you?" Kari: "A man I met tonight." Rick: "And you brought him back here? You could blow our cover." Kari: "I trust him." Rick: "What do you know about him?" Kari: "Only a little more than I know about you." She went into her room and slammed the door. Ransik and Kelly sat on the couch trying not to laugh. Finally they just let it go. Rick didn't stick around to listen to them. He went outside. Kelly: "She really told him!" Ransik: "Good thing. Now he has forgotten about us."
    Kitana walked up to the cave and placed a bomb in front of the cave. Then looked around to make sure no one say her. Kitana: "Sorry Boron, no victory today." She pushed a button and blasted a hole in the side of the cave. This woke the three inside. Cerina looked at the hole in shock. Cerina: "Where in the world?" Lucas ran up beside her. Lucas: "Come on. Lets get out of here." He grabbed Niki's hand and ran out the door. Kitana stood on the side where she was out of their sight. Once they were gone, she walked around in front of the hole. Vulca came up at that very moment. The two stood side by side staring at it. Vulca: "It serves me right. I actually thought Boron could win. I deserve to be disappointed." Kitana: "I don't know how they did it. I just walked up to check out his work and there was this big freak'n hole." Vulca began to laugh. Kitana: "What is wrong with you? We just lost." Vulca: "No we didn't. We still get to see the look on his face when we tell him he failed." This amused Kitana too. Kitana: "Lets go." Vulca: "Oh he's going to love this." Kitana: "Yeah. Hey Boron, guess what..." She bursted into laughter again as they walked back towards the palace.
    Cerina sent Lucas through the back enterance. She and Niki walked in the front. They came down the steps and stopped. Niki gave Ransik a dirty look. Cerina: "Go in the other room." Niki: "But why?" Cerina had to think fast. Cerina: "To take a shower. That cave was dirty." She sighed. Niki: "Fine." Once she had left, Cerina started in on Kelly and Ransik. Cerina: "Oh what have you done now?" Ransik stood up and looked her dead in the eye. They were challenging each other. Kelly sat on the couch with the baby and smiled.
